eJeevika HR Pvt. Ltd is an enterprise incubated under IIT Madras's Rural Technology Business Incubator. ‘Jeevika’ has been derived from a Sanskrit word called ‘Aajeevika’ which means ‘livelihood’. The ‘e’ in the name stands for learning through using Internet Communication Technology (computers, mobile etc). Thus ‘eJeevika’ denotes learning through computers and earning a livelihood.

The aim of ‘eJeevika’ is to bridge the labor shortage in high growth industries. We provide employable rural candidates to corporate and aim to bridge the skill gap by imparting industry specific skills to the candidates using the ICT platform.

Presently we have presence in six districts of Tamil nadu where we train youth for Sales in Retail Industry, Telecom, FMCG, Insurance, Security Services and ITES / BPO Industry. We plan to diversify to other verticals shortly. We have trained and placed more than 400 rural youth in last one year.


Our activities include
• Sourcing rural candidates
• Training them in skills required by the industry
• Making them employable and
• Providing them with Jobs
We provide an end-to-end bouquet of solutions both to the client and to the rural youth. Our services are delivered from village based Kiosks making training affordable & accessible.

• We also train existing employees in corporate and impart soft skill training and Sales training
• We assist the student community in colleges through personality enhancement courses that groom them for successful carrier ahead.

Our online training modules are customized according to the requirements of the clients and are bilingual. We use the ‘Learn, Practice, Test’ methodology and have integrated online feedback sessions and contact sessions at periodic intervals to ensure quality.
